Sunrise Shores, LLC is a third generation, family owned residential community. Started by John and Ethel May in 1967 with just eight sites, the focus originally was on seasonal residents. As time progressed and demand for housing from local industries, especially shipbuilding, increased, Sunrise Shores, LLC expanded a bit to its current size of 40 sites with many families calling it home.Now, Door County is more of a retirement destination and Sunrise Shores, LLC has morphed to serve this demographic. Currently, approximately 80% of the residents are over 55 and we are only accepting applications for new residents that 55 and up.
